Can The Devil Read Our Minds?
Rev. Cindy Hyde

"Someone once told me that the devil can't read our minds. That we must rebuke him out loud. Is this in the bible somewhere, and if so where please." ~ Lisa

Satan was created as an angel. Angels have superhuman powers. They also have limitations. They are not gods. They are not Omnipresent, Omnipotent, and Omniscient. Only God is. You can do a study on what angels can do but you will find they can not read minds. Only God knows your secrets and your thoughts. The enemy would like to make you think he can read your mind. But he can not. He would want to keep you in the dark in this area too; keeping you deceived and powerless.

Once Light is shed into the darkness of doubt, unbelief or ignorance which is simply not being aware and the truth is shed with the knowledge of God. The lies are then exposed and rendered ineffective and useless. The enemy is then disarmed. Hallelujah!!! Lord give us lots of light! Swing open those doors of our minds and fill them with knowledge, wisdom, and understanding in Jesus' Name. Let Your LIGHT, Jesus, flood in to every area of our lives. We want no more darkness. We want Your TRUTHS in our lives!

I have a visual for those of you who are visually inspired.

An icebox is in complete darkness while the door shut. Until you open the door there is no light, right? It's only when you open the door of the icebox that the light comes on so you can see inside.

We are much like an icebox. Until we receive Jesus Christ, who is the Light of the world, as our Savior, there is no light in us, we are in total darkness. Our minds and our hearts are closed to the light. Closed to the truth. Closed to the revelation of who God is, who His Son is and what He has done for us. There is no light in us. We are in darkness. When we accept Him as our Savior, open the door and let Him into our hearts, as the LORD of our life, His Light begins to shine in us. We become an icebox with the door always open.

The more truth we learn the brighter our lights will shine. We need to have a flood light in us, instead of one of those tiny bulbs used in the refrigerators. We want everyone to see what's in us don't we? We certainly don't want to have any areas where the Light can't reach do we? What will happen to those areas? The mold would begin to grow? The things we have in us will begin to decay and rot. The brighter the light, the dimmer the darkness.

Ok all you iceboxes... sling open those doors, change the little bulb (represents little faith) and get a flood light bulb (represents great faith) And let that light shine!!! You want others to partake of what's in you don't you? Or do you struggle with dark spots in your life the Light can't reach yet? Remember those are the places prone to mildew and mold. God can take those and turn them into something useful like they did with Penicillin. God always takes the bad and works them out for our good. So NO MOLD in me LORD. Clean me out, fill me up and change my bulb!!! I want to serve others with what's in me!!! Don't you?

Matthew 5:14, "Ye are the light of the world."

John 3:17-21, "For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved.  He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.  And this is the condemnation, that light is come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil.  For every one that doeth evil hateth the light, neither cometh to the light, lest his deeds should be reproved.  But he that doeth truth cometh to the light, that his deeds may be made manifest, that they are wrought in God."

Matthew 5:16, "Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven."

John 1:1-5, "In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.  The same was in the beginning with God.  All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made.  In him was life; and the life was the light of men.  And the light shineth in darkness; and the darkness comprehended it not."
