My Testimony - Dawn Jones

"I am the vine, ye are the branches: He that abideth in me,

I am writing this to share the love and goodness of God, and to encourage anyone who is sick not to give up on their healing. Fifteen months ago I was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer. I had major surgery and was in the hospital for three weeks. My prognosis by the best doctors was poor at best. The average life expectency of surviving pancreatic cancer patients is seven months; with chemo and radiation therapy, five years.

I knew the Lord would walk with me through this fire, but it was by far the most difficult thing I have ever faced in my life. (Isa. 43:2) I was home from work for three months recuperating from surgery. I spent my days reading the word, talking to the Lord, praying for a confirmation of my healing. I had not felt a "miraculous" touch as I have in the past when He healed me.

Finally the Lord began to speak to me through His word and confirmed to me He had truly healed me. To the shock and dismay of most of my family members, I made the decision to decline chemo and radiation therapy.

Aside from my sister and her husband, none of my family stood with me in my decision. My husband had been thrown into a state of fear, anxiety, and helplessness. In despair, he threatened to physically carry me to treatments. But, when the Lord has spoken to you no one, not even a beloved spouse can convince you otherwise. The Lord is not a man that He should lie! (Num. 23:19)

God always turns what Satan means for evil into good.(Rom.8:28) It has now been fifteen months since I left the hospital and people are starting to realize "something" must have happened. This has been such a testimony. I live in a small, gossipy town and everyone knew about my illness. Now everyone knows about how God has healed me! I have been able to tell so many people that Jesus healed me, and now I want to share it with the whole world! The Lord showed my husband that I am really healed and he supports me 100%. We are closer to the Lord now than we have ever been.

If you are sick, no matter what the doctors have told you, don't give up. Jesus paid for ALL our illnesses on the cross.(I Peter 2:24., Isa. 53:5).

It is His will that you be in good health and prosper even as your soul prospers. (3 John 1:2) Satan cannot steal your life prematurely. Seek Jesus and your healing will come.(Matt. 6:33). He will never leave you nor forsake you.
