My name is Todd Tomasella and I was born in New Orleans, Louisiana, then spent 8 years in Alabama where God saved me out of a religious system. I have been living in the great state of Texas for 5 years now and love it.
From age zero I was taught to trust in the "authority" of my religion with it's dogmas, popes, priests and practices. When I heard the Gospel explained for the first time in my life from the Bible, I was quickened by the Holy Spirit to Jesus, "who is the blessed and ONLY Potentate, the King of kings and Lord of lords." ( 1Timothy 6:15) That night my life was changed forever by the Lord's regenerating power as I chose to obey Him in repenting of my sins and receiving Christ as Lord of my life (Titus 3:5-6). He then baptized me with His Holy Ghost and has been changing my life every day since and I praise Him for His unspeakable gift of Christ the Lord.
After being saved for six months, I walked into a small independent Christian bookstore in a small town in north Alabama. A faithful pastor and his wife ran it as part of the church they pastored. After some acquaintance and chat, the pastor, who learned that I had been recently saved, asked me if I had been filled with the Holy Ghost. I told him exactly what the Ephesian believers stated in Acts 19:1-6. The dialogue went almost exactly like this:
Acts 19:2 KJV "He said unto them, Have ye received the Holy Ghost since ye believed? And they said unto him, We have not so much as heard whether there be any Holy Ghost."
I had simply never heard of being filled up with the Holy Spirit. The pastor then asked me if I would like to look into the Word with him and I agreed. We went to the back and sat down. He sat to my left, shoulder to shoulder, and took me on a tour of the New Testament doctrine of the baptism in the Holy Ghost (See Matthew 3:11). After studying about a dozen verses, he asked if I would like to " receive the gift of the Holy Ghost." (Acts 2:37-39) I answered in the affirmative and we prayed to God for such. The Lord heard our prayer, as He promised for this specific request (Luke 11:11-13), and my life was changed again for ever. The baptism in the Spirit is a New Testament reality for all who are saved and for the whole dispensation of Grace (Acts 2:37-39). Divinely inspired boldness to witness and strength to live out the Christian life increased greatly as He led me in His path. Not long after being apprehended by Him (saved), the Lord quickened me to record His Good News on paper and to start a Gospel tract ministry. I had no idea what a printing press even looked like. Well, over 2 million tracts later, the tract ministry is alive with the Jesus tract which is be utilized to win souls the world over. See Tracts
