Tribulation And Anguish
Cindy Hyde

Is your soul full of opposition, defeat, distress, trouble, affliction, oppression, tribulation, pressures, and burdens? Do you seem to have to many problems?

The Scripture says that... "Tribulation and anguish, [come] upon every soul of man that doeth evil,..." Romans 2:9. You bring tribulation and anguish upon our own souls if you do evil things. Who can you blame but yourself? You can't blame the devil, you can't blame your parents, your children or your coworkers. Some things you just have to own up to and sin is one of them. It's your fault. You can't use the excuse, "The devil made me do it." You did it yourself. It was your choice to disobey God.

Is there some type of sin (or evil) in your life that you can't overcome? Keep trying! We are all a work in progress. Let the Word of God encourage you. Romans 8:28 says, "And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose." God is on your side. Never forget that.

Say as the psalmist did, "...LORD, be merciful unto me: heal my soul; for I have sinned against thee." Psalms 41:4. Repent and let the peace of God flood your soul. Then the joy of the Lord will be your strength when you need to be strong and overcome.

Cindy,

When I was deep in sin and backslid several years ago due to my own wrong choices, I knew I'd brought on my own trouble. I definitely had tribulation and anguish!  I tried and tried on my own to get victory, but couldn't seem to get to the point where I hit bottom for a long time.  Here is what I did.....I put this prayer on an index card and carried it with me.  EVERY day I prayed this way:

Father God, forgive me.
Blood of Jesus, cleanse me.
Lord Jesus, rule me, lead me.
Holy Spirit, fill me, teache me, move me.

It took awhile, but as I got this prayer into my spirit I began to make right choices and one day I truly got delivered and renewed in my spirit as well as my mind and was able to get victory.  I stopped depending on my feelings and emotions and started to speak out the Word of God and put my total dependence on Him.  I have never turned back, praise God.

There is NO SIN too big that God cannot give you victory.  Turn to Him always.

Love,
Rhea
