I Shall Not Be Moved

"I have set the LORD always before me: because he is at my right hand, I shall not be
moved." Psa 16:8

There are many things in this world that come to move you. Financial problems, loss
of a job, sickness, children being rebellious, your friend betrays you, your spouse
leaves you... the list is endless isn't it?

When I read this I was reminded of the song we used to sing when I was in church
years ago. "I Shall Not Be Moved." Great song but it didn't mean that much to me until
today.

These thoughts began pouring in... What will it take for you not to be moved by the
things the enemy comes to throw at you?

How can you stand firm without moving?

How can you go through emotional trauma's or physical trauma's and not be moved?

By standing on God's promises. The Bible says that all His promises are "Yeah and
Amen." They are for you. They were given to fill us with hope. The hope of something
better than we have at the moment.

God cannot lie. He doesn't say something and then say, "But that's not what I
meant." Like we do. He says what He means and means what He says. Unlike many of us.
God does not and cannot lie.

This means that if we take Him at His Word and believe without doubting that what
He says is true we will not be moved by what we see because we will be walking by
faith.

This means we will not be moved by what we feel because we know that we live by
faith and not by emotions.

This also means that our feet will be firmly planted on the Rock of our Salvation
and when the winds come, the rains fall and the flood waters rise against us in our
lives we will not be moved by them.

You can make up your mind today, you can choose the path you take today. To be
moved or will you say along with me, Today I Shall Not Be Moved?

I shall not be moved by my lack of finances or my lack of health. I will stand on
God's Word that says, all my needs shall be met and I am healed. What will happen to
you when you decide to stand firm and not be moved by what you see?

I'd like to know what happens when you make this stand because I know it will
transform your life.

Father,
You created me in Your image. You created me as a creature of choice. Help me to make
good choices today. Help me to stand firm on the promises that You have given me. Your
Word promises me health, prosperity, abundant life, blessings for my obedience and so
much more. I claim all Your promises for me, my children, and my family. Help every
area of my unbelief. Increase my faith. I shall not be moved by what I see, hear,
imagine, think or read from this day forth except Your Word. Give me wisdom Father to
know Your Word better. Father, be it unto me according to thy word in the name of
Jesus I ask all these things and believe them. Amen.
